God bless you beloved co-laborers from HeartCry. As the Apostle Paul prayed for those brothers, so I pray for you. It's a privilege for all of us to love God, walk with God, and serve God. He has been good to us. In this month of January, He has been glorified, and we are small men in the hands of a great God. Together with my family, we received the year 2010 in fellowship with other pastors and missionaries in the seminary, praying and giving thanks to God for being who He is, a great God. On Tuesdays the 5th, 12th and 19th I have been teaching about man's depravity, with the gospel being the main topic. What we have done is study the first 3 chapters of the book of Romans and then I have explained it to them, discussing everything in order to help them to come to biblical conclusions. On the 6th and the 20th, we evangelized in Mallaritos. Six youth have been going out and preaching the gospel in the afternoons, because this is the time when people are at home resting from their jobs. Despite the fact that most people thing that everything is fine with them, once we talk about sin, and their guilt before God, they feel that not everything is all right with them. Some ask us to come back, and others fear just for a moment and then forget the message. It is our prayer that God may have mercy on them. On Saturday the 16th I was invited to share the Word of God with the youth of the Divine Redeemer Church from Sullana, and this was a very nice time, returning after a long time to the church where I was born and grew up, this time to teach the Scriptures. On Monday the 25th and Tuesday the 26th we had our first conference just for married couples. The program is called: "Just One Flesh", and we had a great attendance, 23 couples came to the event, and 12 came alone. Our brothers' had a separate program. Pastor Luis S., my father, was the conference expositor. This program will continue until October, three days per month. For the next month we are expecting more couples, our purpose is to save and restore marriages, through the light of Scriptures. On Saturday the 30th we had our first missionary Saturday, with the youth of Mallaritos. The missionary Saturday consists in preaching the Gospel through the whole day, in the morning and in the afternoon, and in the evening having an evangelistic service. This first Saturday we did it in the town of Santa Cruz. Most of the people in the town heard the gospel. We went two by two knocking on doors, preaching the Word. The youth are very encouraged in having more Saturdays like these. I preached God's Word in the evening at the church. Regarding the seminary, I'm going every Tuesday and Thursday to coordinate the work of this year. In February I'll have a meeting with the teachers to discuss different topics related to the seminary. We pray to continue with the ministerial training of God's servants. I give thanks to God for my family, for the great time that we spend together every Friday. My wife and I are sharing the Bible always, and my daughter is growing up and knowing the truths of God's Word. Thank you brothers for your prayers and financial support, I pray to God that I will be able to continue knowing , loving and serving you. Jose Luis S.
