Dear HeartCry Brothers,

I greet you in the name of Jesus Christ
. I thank God for this year that passed by, in which He has been glorified among His people. This is my report of what I have done by God's grace in December.

I have been teaching about the preaching of the true gospel,
and at the same time projecting evangelism videos by pastor Paul Washer and Charles Leiter, on the topic of Justification and Regeneration. At this moment we are doing evangelism with the youth every Saturday at 3:30 pm, and on Wednesdays in the evenings. On Tuesdays I teach about evangelism, and on Wednesdays we go out to the field. At this moment there are 10 of us, young men, doing personal evangelism. In regards to this we had a fast with the church on December 12th, when 13 brothers gathered to pray at the church building and after that we went to evangelize an area that we haven't reached with the gospel.

After 3 weeks I found out that two young men committed suicide, one of them lived in one of the places where we were evangelizing that day. Because of this, I recognize is that every day we must continue preaching His word to the lost.

I continue teaching at church, on THE ONE TRUE GOD. It is very necessary that the church knows the only True God, especially in these times that people have different ideas about God and many of them from a humanist point of view, so we have to know Him by what the Word of God teaches.

At this time I continue working with a young man called Danfer T. who wanted to end his life in suicide, and he decided to look for me and my father to get counseling and pray for him. Since that day I have been discipling him, but now he hasn't come to church for about three weeks. I have sought him out and talked to him, and he told me that he will come back to continue studying the Bible. I pray for God do the work in his life.

This month we finished the year of studies in the seminary.
In a special way, we gathered together for the send off for pastor Daniel C. and his family, because soon they will be traveling to another country to study for six months. Pastor Javier C. will stay as the seminary director for the March-August season, and I will be the studies director. We want to continue training the future pastors and missionaries for Peru and the world. Thanks to God for the opportunity to be a part of this seminary, thanks to pastor Daniel as well for the good job that he has been doing. I realize that is a great responsibility that I wish to accomplish  with extreme care.

On Friday the 18th I went with pastor Daniel to a fellowship of churches in South Cieneguillo, where pastor Daniel shared the Word of God and I accompanied him with the music, it was a beautiful time where we enjoyed fellowship with others.

On December 9th we celebrated Hymn Day, with the Baptist Churches of Sullana.
This event was organized by the seminary. It was a beautiful evening of worshipping God with these old hyms which contain lots of good doctrine. About 200 brothers gathered for this precious event, that was held in pastor Angel C.s' church.

Beginning this year we have planned, together with my wife, to go to the pastors' camp that will be held from January 12th through the 14th. Please pray for this. Javier C. has confirmed the participation of a pastor from the Dominican Republic who will teach on the topic of the family, so I want to attend to be edified by the servants of God.

Thanks HeartCry brothers for your support and prayers, and I will continue praying for the mission this year 2010, and for the projects that you have.

Blessings,

Jose Luis S.
